Bottle Vase #8 Old Purple
What a picture this vase is! The striking bottle appears to be made of plastic, but is actually made of porcelain.
A vase from Foekje Fleur is a beautiful showpiece in itself, with or without flowers. Place several different vases together for an even more striking effect. The beautiful pastel shades combine well with each other. Foekje Fleur vases are available in a wide range of colors and shapes.
With the Bottle Vaze Project, Foekje Fleur draws attention to the growing problem of plastic soup. The matte porcelain exterior bears a striking resemblance to plastic. The pastel colors are reminiscent of the faded colors of discarded plastic over time.
A team of 7 craftsmen makes the vases of the Bottle Vaze Project by hand in Portugal. They make molds from found, discarded plastic bottles that they fill with liquid porcelain. They then glaze the bottles on the inside with lead-free glaze. This makes the bottles waterproof.
